i wonder how animators survive. i wonder if there's a more efficient way to animate?
From what little I know about the industry, 3D is really taking over; Disney dropped its 2D animation department recently. Once you have the 3D models created, you can move those around with more ease than drawing each frame of a 2D animation.
Flash animation is also more efficient but I think it lacks the expressiveness of "pure" 2D animation.
Of course 2D animation is still around, but I think it's a pretty grueling and low-paid career.
ahh i see! 3D animation isn't easy either i've heard. you have to learn all the algorithms and functions or whatever and there's a lot of other math stuff @_@ typically if you're an artist, you probably wouldnt be too fond of math.
