Quitting Maplestory (updated)

Being a complete MTS noob, I decided to sell my Blue Maple Bandana 2007 for 290k NX.

I listed it for 290.

Oh my god. Oh my god. It was worth over 500M mesos.

It's been sold. I didn't get a chance to cancel it when I realized my error 1 second later.

What's the point of playing anymore? That was everything I had.

My whole life was Maple- I made maple crafts, drew maple art, and played the game for 3 years.

I don't think it's sunk in yet.

I sold the only item I owned worth anything for TWENTY-NINE CENTS.

Update:

I don't really want to play the game anymore but... I don't think I'm going to leave the fandom. Mushrooms and slimes are too cute... and I still need to make a Pink Been plushie.

I've recovered from the sheer shock and am now plotting ways to get a new dana, and never be stupid enough to lose it again. It's NX lock time!

But first I need to obtain one. Hurrr.

I know it was just an item, but omfg I loved it so much. I never intended to sell it and the one time I put it up in the MTS on a whim - BAM.

I'm not going to be playing maple until I have finalized my plans to get my grubby mitts on a new dana. It won't be the same playing without one.

Wow... that's really painful. Personally, though, I don't think it's worth quitting over. I had something worse happen to me and I nearly quit myself, but a lot of people made me change my mind and I'm back better than ever.

You're maybe just caught up in the moment. But I know how you feel about it, believe me, and I'm sorry it happened. x.x

I'm really sorry, I know the feeling >A> But you just have to keep moving foward. I mean, I've quit Maple because of something like that, but I don't think you should if it's really your passion

lol @ EvilSempai. A Blue Maple Bandana really isn't comparable to a Maple Thief Shield in any way <_<

I saw your smega about it D: I almost thought you'd been hacked and the hacker sold it just to be annoying. I don't even know what those bandanas are worth, you barely ever see any around. I feel for you :C

Yeah, I feel a little less overwhelmed now. Though I keep expecting that it was really a dream - I've had actually had nightmares about things like dropping the dana and having it disappear, and here I am without it.

However, I think I will be able to make back the money if I hit levels 140+ and start leeching. But that's 22 levels away, and I'll need expensive Genesis skillbooks >__<

It's just such a shock... owning a Blue Maple Dana was one of the things that really defined my Maple ingame-experience. If I'd just gone and lost 500M I wouldn't be so devastated, but the item was just so precious to me.

Hell, being hacked and losing it would be better than losing it out of my own stupidity.

I'll either have to slowly earn it back, or switch games. >__<

Or I could sell tons and tons of plushies. :/

If 1k NX = 4M mesos, and the dana was worth 500M, I need 125k nx to rebuy one. $11 = 10k nx, so I need $137.5 dollars. That's selling five slime plushies on Ebay, and about 14 hours worth of work. It could all be finished within three days.

I...could try. This sounds pretty damn viable.

I just need to make sure Nexon doesn't sue me. -___-

I feel less "OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!" now, so maybe I won't quit.

I think that I will be able to slowly regain what I lost by:

Selling 5 slime plushies on Ebay.

huurhuurrrr.

Quite viable.

If I actually quit, I don't know what I'd do... make plushies and crafts for other games? I'd probably end up playing WoW, but I fear for my soul with that game.
