Anyone got Epoxy experience?

Sun Nov 8, 2009, 10:34 PM

I picked up a small set of EasyCast Epoxy to the lulz today, and then remembered that I have no idea how to use this stuff. I have no molds, no training, no nothing.

I want to cast small charms and coat Shrinky-dink keychains with this stuff.

Has anyone ever used this stuff?

Um...I know that some types of epoxy you just put on a sculpture and sand away to your desired shape, but I don't know exactly what you're trying to do. ^^; Are you trying to use it as a mold, or to coat something? I don't know how to do either, but I'm sure some online tutorials would help.

I bought a small kit also like a year ago and have failed to attempt using it lol. I think you would need to make a mold first and then be able to pour the epoxy in so it can take the shape of the mold. Maybe I'm thinking of another type of substance >_____> don't trust my answer haha..
